Truly the best first person shooter out there. In a fairly stagnant genre, Bioshock feels fresh and original. The atmosphere, an underrated aspect of any game, makes it seem like Rapture is alive, and its citizens are real. The gameplay is fast and intense, and the story is one of the best to be told, in any medium, in years. Although the gameplay does not really contain anything new or innovative, it just happens to do almost everything right. From the hacking minigame (based on the old-school game pipe dreams) to the first exhilirating battle with a "Big Daddy", every second is a memorable. I have now played through a good 4 or 5 times, and have loved every minute of it. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys games of any time. Make sure you don't miss Bioshock.
