The best storyline in a game ever.
Bioshock starts of with an aeroplane crashing into the sea, and one nameless charcter, who you control, is the only survivor. He takes sanctuary into a remarkable underwater city called Rapture. But things are not all cracked up to be.
The atmosphere here is terrifying and suspenseful. Splicers creep the c.r.a.p out of you; these are your enemies. The story is told through diaries which you find and these tell the remarkable stories of rapture.
Onto combat. The weapons looked like they were made out of old junk and some, such as the shotgun, do not deal as much damage as one would expect. Your powers, or plasmids, make up fo this and at times combat might seem easy with the help of Vita Chambers. Big Daddy fights are incredibly intense, however. The addition of RPG elements such as that of upgrading weapons, buying stuff etc. keep that lasting appeal going and adds up to a more exciting gameplay.
A must buy.
