I am not a fan of the Soul's type games so I was a bit hesitant in starting to play Wukong - in fact this game is more of a mix between a Soul's game and the most recent God of War installments, still has the boss dynamic which I am not particularly a fan off, however it has a completely different approach from a story line perspective which made me love it!
For starters the gameplay is amazing and really fun, it feels fluid and the fights are actually really engaging. Adding to that the world design is simply stunning, great locations matched by a really smooth and beautiful soundtrack.
In similar fashion to God of War, it takes real life mythology and gives it some twists, on one hand this can be a bit off putting since without any context a lot of the story will go right through your head, at least it happened to me - but that's the thing about amazing games, they make you curious about it and I found myself doing bits of research to make some sense of the narrative and its indeed amazing and also rewarding if you finish the game the right way.
No boring side quests, without some of the online guides I admit it might've been tough to find about all its secrets, so that's the only downside of it.
It's great to see triple A games being made in other countries other than the US specially one straight from China.
Remarkable achievement, looking forward to a sequel or DLC!
