Good entertainment for at least a while.

User Rating: 7.8 | Black PS2
Black is a FPS that it loads of fun while it lasts. Gameplay: The game poses great fun and entertainment. With levels that are fun to play, even though they can get difficult and take multiple attempts to clear, it brings out the best qualities in a shooter. However... there are some pros and some cons. The weapons are fun to use and play with, but sometime you'll wish you had a more broad selection of guns to choose from. Also, the sheer amount of enemies and the difficulty can get gruesome sometimes. RPG soldiers and a perfect example, as they are hard to spot and can deal heavy amounts of damage when their shot connects. The lack of multiplayer and an online mode is a severe disappointment, as this game as multiplayer could have been stellar and maybe would have given Halo a run for its money granted the online would have been made well. However, the game is great fun even in single player mode and any fan of shooter games should definitely pick this up, or at least rent it because of its relatively short span.

Graphics: The graphics in this game is absolutely amazing. From the shine of the guns to the lighting to the enemy detail and the engine used for the environment destruction and everything is above par. Everything is game is basically destructible and enemies even die in cool ways. Hell... you'll even want to miss sometimes because of the game's superb dust and fragmented pieces flying around when bullets connect. Real time blur when reloading is also used and is a nice touch to the game.

Sound: Everything in the game sounds great and just how you would expect it too. A cool thing about this game is when your health gets extremely low, the screen turns a black and white hue and all noise except for a buzzing sound and your own heartbeat is audible. A nice touch, in my opinion.

Value: Now being 20 dollars, it may be worth it to just go buy it and play it, but if you play it while renting you might not finish it because of its difficulty. Even though it is somewhat short, that prevents you from finishing it as quick as you thought you might.
