A really good first person shooter, shame about no multiplayer..
You play through levels using at least twenty different weapons and facing hordes of soldiers.
Your first mission is based in the streets of.. umm.. somewhere and your basic objective is to reach the other side of the level and voila, you've beaten a level, but on hard mode you have also got to do secondary objectives such as destroying laptops with plans on, or collecting evidence against the enemies.
To be honest, I didn't fully understand the story, but you can't skip cut scenes, so they can often get tedious, the graphics are pretty good and black features a good physics engine were you feel like anything can be shot.
It's really a great shame that black didn't have any multiplayer features on it, none at all, just a straight forward campaign, I think a multiplayer function would have bought this game up in the 8.5+ section.
I found this game pretty hard, but managed to beat the first four levels on medium mode and the first two levels on hard mode, the game can be really hard at some times, even on easy difficulty but it's still pretty replayeble, I reccomend this game to any hardcore classic FPS fans who just love a good 'shoot em up' game.
I hope this review helped.
