Meh. At least the graphics were good.
The controls are funtional, but feel a little clunky. I'm not complaning about the two analog stick controls, because im sure almost everybody should be used to that, because frankly, its the only control scheme for first person shooters on the ps2. Anyway, when you are moving the right analog stick to move your gun, it feels like your aiming an elephant or something.
The sound is really good. Second best thing next to the graphics about the game. The gunshots sound perfectly matched to the guns that are shooting them, and the visuals really compliment the sounds really well.
The AI is mediocre at best. Its not terrible, but your going to be wanting something harder. Its really just sad to see somebody standing on top of a gas tank, just clueless
The thing that I absolutly hated about this game was that they put explosion opportunities ABSOLUTLY EVERYWHERE. It really dumbs down the difficulty of this game. WHY THE HELL DO THEY HAVE GAS TANKS NEXT TO A RANDOM BUNKER?!?!?!?!?!? AND THEY GO STAND NEXT TO IT!!!?!?!?!?! its almost as if that Criterion is inviting you to shoot at the tanks. They look great, but its just ridiculous.
Overall, Its a mediocre shooter. Thats saying a lot. if you want a graphical showpeice to show to your friends, by all means get this game. but if you want a great shooter, get TimeSplitters 2 or Medal of Honor Frontline. Oh and I almost forgot. The game is about 5 hours long. nuff said
