A great disappointment, but not terrible.

I had this game reserved and paid for back in early January. When I picked it up the day it came out and beat it that day, I was pretty pissed.

Don't get me wrong, the graphics (namely the weapon models and explosions) look wonderful. Some of the best you'll see. And the sound really immerses you in the experience. But the game is bland, and linear. Go from point A to point B and kill a bunch of people on the way. Nothing we haven't seen before.

I'd recommend anyone who is into shooters to give this game a go around though, at least rent it and see for yourself. It was definitely a treat to play, just not $40 worth of fun.
