Burnout creators turn there attention developing a first person shooter.
Playing as a solider who is hunting for Lennox, the solider roams across Eastern Europe in hopes to track and to put a stop to Lennox. Blasting your way though 8 levels, the game offer a lot of action to keep you entertained.
The controls are pretty good, you can move around and aim freely. It's also smooth. Shooting is easy, as you have a small dot for easy and accurate aim. The game has a lot of weapon, and as the weapons are one of the main focuses of the game, a lot of work has been done to the weapons.
Overall the environment is aimed to be destructive… close to Red Faction, however a lot more of it. Every level is filled with stuff you would want to blow up. However there are a few weird moments as sometimes you can destroy walls and have a floating piece in the middle floating in mid-are… it looks ugly and unrealistic, this rarely happens.
As it's a first person shooter, when the character is about to fall onto the battlefield, the screen goes monochrome and the player is able to recover some of their health by hiding and staying stationary for a while, which is useful because the levels get intense with gunfire.
The visuals and sounds on everything is amazing, from the weapons, to the colourful world in each level for the game and the destructive environments adds a lot of fun to each level. The soundtrack has a lot been made speciality for the game.
My biggest problem of the game is how linear the overall game is… with only 8 levels and only the special unlocking bonus at the end of the game with the only bonuses that game has to offer and it feels too short as well… even in hard mode.
However, if you are able to overlook these flaws, you will get an enjoyable first person shooter, it was worth renting when there was a chance and for now, check your bargain bins.
