Blast Factor, when people look at it, they tend to say it's a rip off of Geometry Wars for the Xbox 360 when it is clearly not. Yea the basic control scheme is similar to GW but instead Blast Factor has stages you go through instead of one whole big board where you just have to stay alive. However, staying alive is still the concept in this game and shooting objects that come near you. One of the cool things about this game is there are parts where enemies can only be killed with certain moves , like you have to tilt the SixAxis to flip a enemy over to kill them; which is a nice touch. After you learn the basic controls the difficulty will continue to go up and some of the enemies will chase you if you tilt the controller instead of pushing them away which adds a lot of strategy. One downside about this games is there is no multiplayer when you purchase it, you have to buy the add-on pack to get multiplayer and 2x speed increase which makes it a lot of fun and more challenging and it gives you a higher score as well. All and all Blast Factor for PS3 is a fun game to pick up and play for an hour or two but the fact of having multiplayer and speed increase as a add-on pack makes the game more expensive then what its worth. If you want something addicting on you PS3 XMB Blast Factor is that game.
