An incredible game seemingly judged for having "wierd" characters?

User Rating: 9 | BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger X360
Hey there fight fans, I'm posting a small review in response to the gamespot review that seems to penalize BlazBlue for having characters that are too weird? action that is too fast paced and confusing?? Only 12 character's?? I don't understand why we would need to get past the original art and personality the characters employ, the frantic intense action the gameplay delivers or ever get tired of the completly unique cast of characters to enjoy the game.

On the contrary the fact that the characters are heavily anime based and full of personality and style makes the game that much funner. It truly is a spectacle to watch in action. Blazblue is loud, over the top and very fast paced. Those only serve to give a very intense and rewarding experience.

I wont post on the games specifics as there are already many professional reviews that cover these aspects of the game I just wanted to point out that blazblue is hardly too loud or overwhelming to be enjoyed. If your tired of throwing an hadoken with the same button commands and the same 6 characters, maybe now is the time to try playing as characters that are truly unique and when utilized, deadly in many diffrent ways.

One more thing to point out, Blazblue has the option to toggle using the right stick for special moves. So if your weary of using the D-pad to pull off half-circles and don't have the money to buy a joystick (they get very expensive) do not fear, its got you covered.

All and all, This game is a polished package. Don't listen to people who judge the style and presentation of this game as lacking simply because they cant keep up or appreciate something intense and original. For me and many others, it is simply the best 2d fighter ever released. Play this game and decide for yourself what score BlazBlue deserves, you wont regret it.
