Unlike other games, this is a side scrolling one... A GREAT side scrolling one! For Bleach fans only.
Story 7/10
I don't know how to read japanese, but I know this game is based on the movie Bleach: Fade to Black, I Call Your Name when everyone in the soul society forgets about rukia and ichigo and rukia forgets everything about herself. Note when you start a new game your asked if you want to do the tutorial. Click the top for yes and the bottom for no.
Gameplay 9/10
Your pretty much using every button for this game. But learning the gameplay is easy. Note the right trigger lets you choose which supporter you want to use and the a button lets you use that supporter. {see customize}. Your also fighting hollows and some boss battles {you can tell if any character pops up on your map} and collecting Black Swallowtails. Later in the game by pressing up X you use bankai {or shikai glove release or a super special depending on who your using} and Down X for an even more powerful special attack. Some have asked if you can use hollow masked ichigo. you can only use his special attack by activating his bankai and then pressing up X again.
Note that you can only use 8 characters in this game and no neither of them are kenpachi. The special character in this game is kid Byakuya, which is actually a useful character because his special can stun any opponent. There is also mission mode when I think your collecting a certain number of butterflies, but I'm not too sure. And theres survival mode with an easy mode, normal mode, and hard mode which is REALLY difficult. Believe it or not, I beat hard mode with Kid Byakuya!
Graphics 10/10
Great graphics for a side-scrolling game.
CUTOMIZATION 10/10
In the second option in the main menu you can make a board that provides supporters {there big square boxes}, Health and SP boosts, and other things. You can unlock them by playing the story, finding the cards in secret locations, or by buying them in the urahara shop. You can also make your board bigger by buying different sizes in the Urahara shop that cost lots of money. If you unlock a small squared butterfly card, then thats a big advantage for unlocking secret locations, gold pieces, and cards. You can use that butterfly for going through some wooden gates you'll find in later places and you can go in them by standing by it and pressing up on your control pad.
Bottom line: Great for Bleach fans, solid for side scrolling fans, bad for fans who don't play side scrolling games and know nothing about bleach.
