You wanted a great Bleach fighting game, and you got it.
I have complaints, don't get me wrong, so let me go over those first.
The double edged sword of this game comes from unlocking characters. There are a ton of characters, and a ton of them need to be unlocked. However, unlocking them is rarely based on unique achievements, rather when you win a fight in various modes (story, survival, 100 survival) you gain a certain amount of points. These points accumulate and you unlock characters as you climb the point chain. IT TAKES SO LOG TO GET THESE POINTS. The only thing I really don't like about this system is that it takes so long, seriously I think 99% of my play time has been out of a want to get points for unlocking characters. The only good thing about this system is that by the time you unlock everyone you will be a pro at the game. You will most likely have beaten the game in every way and with multiple characters to boot. It takes way to long, but you become an amazing player, a real double edged sword.
Now from here on out it is all likes. I like the handling, it's perfection. The graphics are incredible. The story mode is pretty cool. Character selection is amazing and the list of possible moves and specials is incredible. This is a better fighting game than most console fighting games out there. I would dare to say that someone who likes fighters, and knows nothing about Bleach, would still love this game.
i don't know what else to say about this game except that it has brought hours of fun, and will continue to do so right up until Heat the Soul 5 when somehow they manage to improve on an almost flawless game.
