Great game but gameplay get's old fairly fast
I'll start with the good about this game. First the campaign mode is great. You start out as a lackluster football team that needs to reach the division 1 championship or else they will leave the league. You start by picking your coaches and a few players then you start the season. Their are few options on to chose from on the campaign mode screen. You can choose to play a game, train your players, marvel at your accolades, buy gear, and you can even give your team performance enhancers.
Now for the gameplay. You will probably find most of the concepts in this game familiar if you have played Madden except for the controls. You should read over the manual and try to get used to the controls. Once you learn the controls you are ready to play. Blitz is a very fast paced game and you will need to adjust to that also. Most of the aspects of gameplay are similar to other football games except Juice. Juice is a meter that increases as you gain yards, show off, or tackle an opponet. After you attain a certain amount of juice you can use it. On offense you can slow down time to help with a run or catching, and evade tackles. On defense you can use it to "dirty hit" someone causing them to: Get weakened, fumble, or get injured. If you time it exactly right you can injure an opposing player . If this happens to you you can let the injury heal (Which is safe but longer) or juice it (which is MUCH quicker but if the person is injured again it could be serious). Those arethe main points in gameplay.
Their are only a few bad qualities to this game. First is the graphics. Even for it's time they weren't top notch and the gameplay is repetitive. Every game feels the same and division games don't feel any different from any other game which makes it easy for one to lose interest.
All and all Blitz: The League is a great game and if one has the chance should pick up.
