Once I learned how to fill the clash meter and evade incoming defensmen, I could not stop playing. This game is great for anyone who loves to play football without worrying about too much strategy and complicated play calling. Blitz: The League does an excellent job on taking arcade-like and lighthearted gameplay and making it feel as dramatic as a desperate housewives episode.

I personally prefer the new icon-based kicking meter over the traditional tap-tap-tap meters used in most other sports games. The cut scense are always entertaining, but eventually you will probably want to turn them off so that the gameplay is not broken.

I believe than anyone who rates this game as horrible must have skipped the training modes and became frustrated with the new features they were unable to control. I started off losing every game by 20-30 points, and then turning the tables almost 180 degrees immediately after completing the training sessions.
