what a game. ive been waiting for blitz to go back to its roots, and with TL, it did. no america, this is not a nfl game with complex play mechanics, this is a game where u literally beat the **** out of people. you can break bones, you can have an all out war with other teams, you can cuss at them. this game really raises the stakes. ok there is a thing called a "dirt hit" were all you do, is literally,(again), beat the **** out people, you can take off there helmets and smash peoples face in, or you can simply do a superplex. there are many moves, but the ones not to be forgotten are the unleash moves, this is were ur guy either on offense or defense, can dodge like ducking just in time when a guy jumps over you, or on defense were you total break someones neck, its very very very satisfying. but the great thing about this game is the defense. usually ****ty games like madden make you sit through a line of d while the other team beats the **** out of you, but in this case you get to beat the **** out of them...........DEFENSE IS FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! finally. when you tackle the QB just right, and u injure him, it goes into an xray, showing the bone breaking. after that, if its ur guy, you can choose to treat it(which takes longer but its better for them), or you can juice them(which makes them get in faster, but its worse for ur rep.) the offesnse is even better, the plays are cool, and they offer a sense of depth because u can mix them up a little. un like madden there is a story, which is cool, its a breath of fresh air into the genre that they needed despretly. you get to make ur own team, and speaking of teams, this is no NFL. this is midways league. they can do whatever the hell they want to do with it. the teams are well made and they all have there own story with there star player and he even has a backround story, which is very helpful. you can also gamble on your team, which is pretty cool, as i said, its a breath of fresh air for the genre. the only thing that i can complain about is the audio gets a bit repetitive. good game. BLITZ FANS MUST OWN
