C'mon ref i hardly touched him!
The introduction of the Blitz mode makes this game even more exicting and offers new options that will keep everyone trying to find the best options for there team. Graphics are fab, seemless game play.
I do have two more gripes which prevents it getting a 10.
firstly, real time mode? This is a good idea, but unless i'm missing something it is far to easy, just run for the ball and score, kick a few players on the way, all good. But each half is 8 minutes of real play, and after 2 minutes i was 6-0 up!!! game ended after playing one match for 50minutes and final score of 22-0, i was close to losing the will to go on.
Second gripe, and this has been covered by several people, computer generated dice rolls. OH and by the way the PC CANNOT CHEAT!! it has a program that is designed to radomly generate dice rolls, but this is its flaw. If you think of a slot machine it has a program written to generate a certain amounts of wins and loses, prior to the person putting money in, so the program determines if you win not the machine. Stay with me, this game has the same program, generating a pre set program and sequence of dice rolls, from the mundance to the impossible (ie goblin blocks two orgres, and kills them both!). Unfortunately a computer program cannot be truly random, its bound by rules. So the odds of rolling a 6 four times is highly unlikey but not impossible, but the computer program factors these odds into the game and makes them far more common, so feels like the computer is cheating. Finally the AI plays with this knowledge of the dice roles, making moves to use up its losing dice rolls, and making risky moves only when it is likely to succeed!
This may make you think why bother playing, but this is where the best bit of the game comes into play, TACTIC's moving and thinking of potential failures makes this like an interactive game of chess, and also playing the same team twice can be very different. brilliant.
