A true Classic That Starts the Series Off With A Bang.
The game tells the story of the main character Kain and how he became a vampire. I won't spoil anything but the story is really good and keeps you interested in playing it all the way through. I just love the character of Kain, he's so deliciously evil. The writing is what makes this game a classic but the gameplay itself is not bad ether. The game is in a top down perspective and feathers some really cool looking locations. You pickup a number of weapons and armor which you can sometimes combine to make devastating attacks. It is really satisfying to kill enemies even though they reappear after you leave a screen. I can't say enough good things about this game. This is a classic that everyone should at least play once, especially If you like dark humor.
