Major Dissapointment

Major disappointment. Game was considered to be similar to "Twisted Metal" except that the game involved sea battles. Unfortunately, Bloodwake is very far from those expectations. -Battles are very slow and frustrating. They usually involve you sailing around in a circle or just trailing behind the computer's boat. The battles aren't as entertaining or as hectic as in "Twisted Metal" either. The computer AI also has some major setbacks in the battles. They will kill their own allies and drive into rocks if they are given the chance. -The game progress forward by a series of missions. Some missions involve ambushing trade ships, infiltrating an enemy base and stealing gold, and defending your harbor. The missions become very repetitive and are frustratingly hard. These also have very little replay value. -The graphics are the only positive. The sea will churn and make sailing difficult. The boats are very detailed and in certain missions there is realistic rain which is falling and making the seas rough. Unfortunately, this game was a major let down. It seems to be that the creators put more time into the graphics than the actual gameplay. If you are considering this game I suggest you rent it before you make your final decision.
