Fun and frantic.
[Game Play] - Different from most fighters. In this one, you can build up your special meter during matches, then transform into your animal form. Each of the characters have different hybrid forms. Shina morphs into a leopard, Long morphs into a tiger, Yugo morphs into a wolf, etc. This is a straight button masher. There really is very little skill involved in this one, expect for "who's the best at mashing buttons to form wicked combos". Each of the characters have their own special which if you configure the controls right, can be pulled off with the press of a button. A story mode is included, with still images rather than cut scenes, and serve as an okay part of the game. Of course there is a standard arcade mode, survival, practice, and even a mode that let's you watch the computer A.I. fight in a custom match. A few unlockables, but only two secret characters, which cuts this game from high re playability.
[Graphics] - Sort of blocky, not too impressive, but does'nt slow down game play.
[Sound] - Lots of killer tunes to brawl to, and even an option to toggle between the console version sound track, or the arcade sound track, which is a plus.
[Overall] - I find myself coming back to play this title every now and again. It's a good game that fighting fans should check their bargain bins for.
