When I saw that this was released I just assumed it was going to be another ruined bomberman lacking the true battle mode that hardcore fans crave in bomberman. However, when I played it I found that it was bomberman at its finest. Anyone that has played bomberman ds knows that ever since that game no bomberman has even come close to the battle mode that was in it. Don't worry though because this bomberman has none of that nonsense minigames and story mode trash in it. It is strictly multiplayer and that is how it is supposed to be. You have the ability to play eight players on one wii using a combination of wiimotes and gamecube controllers or you can take the battle online with eight players. Even better you can play online with four players on the same wii console! As far as items are concerned everything has returned except for the all too powerful remote bomb. A couple new items even appear but the real innovation in this version is the new game mode called countdown. Countdown is basically an insane version of tag. When you get hit by a bomb blast you have a timer appear over your head and then you are required to touch any other player to swap timers or get rid of your timer. When the timer reaches zero whoever is unfortunate enough to be under it is out. For a ten dollar game this is a must buy for anyone not just bomberman fans. You will not regret buying this. Rejoice for bomberman is finally back after four years of bad game developers.
