Bomberman has gone downhill since the SuperNintendo version, and this is no exception.

One of the best games ever made was the SuperNintendo version. The multiplayer was accessible, fast paced, very skill reliant, and with a few minor exceptions very smooth. You could push the console to its processor limits and get a minor bog-down causing a little loss of control, but these issues were never noticeable to anyone but the most extreme players... such as myself. I've never had as much fun, nor laughed as hard during a game... even to this day. I dream of a reincarnation that does this game justice... but there's not one yet. This version, being on the PC, had some possibilities, but never followed through. Each incarnation tries to add more features, but can't get the bottom line down well enough to be fun. A failure all around when compared to it's ancient forefather.
