What happened to the Kangaroo's?
The Bad: Gets boring when playing by yourself, no campaign, no kangaroos
So let me start by saying this is arguably the best multiplayer arcade game on XBLA and one of the best arcade games on the marketplace.
The game looks good, the bombermen look well designed and the maps look good too. The sound effects are good, the bombs sound just liek they always have done back in the old days and planting them sounds the same to.
This game is purely made for multiplayer and online it is a blast, you dont really need to be good at the game as even skilled at the game as the game is so easy to play you can just jump right into the action. The gameplay is based around planting bombs, collecting pick ups that make your bombs go further or able to plant more, and other things, but their the main 2. Even somebody who is new to the game will probably fully understand the game after 20 minutes off playing at the max.
Being able to customise your bomberman is very cool, although its not very deep you can still get a decent different looks.
There is also a great amount of game modes and arenas in this game making it have a decent gameplay life span, theres 4 basic modes (normal, paint, zombie and bombing run) with 8 arenas each with a special mode.
Sadly this game gets kinda boring when playing by yourself so if you dont have xbox live gold i wouldnt really recommend buying this game as online is where its happening, playing with friends is fun too but online is just more fun and very well made.
I knew there wasnt going to be a campaign when i heard of this games release, which is a shame, it would have been good to see the old campaign in this game, i would happily have paid double for the game if it had a campaign, sadly there isnt, and all you can do offline is play the CPU.
Finally ive gotta know, what happened to the kangaroo's? these things made the first bomberman even more fun but sadly their not in this one, i dont get why, o well, its still a fun game.
In conclusion this is a great game to play online but isnt really worth buying if you dont have xbox live gold unless you have 2 controllers.
