Bonk...one of my favorite platformer franchises!

I actually bought this game after I bought and beat Bonk's Revenge (its sequal) for Gameboy. I had always wanted to play the original (and another Bonk game in general) to see what the differences were since I liked Bonk's Revenge so much. This game didn't disappoint me since I found it to be roughly on the same level of entertainment. So you play as Bonk, a prehistoric kid with a huge cranium who sets out to rescue the dinosaur princess from the clutches of the evil King Drool...yeah, you typical cliched old school platformer plot. Inspite of its cliched story, its a really fun game to play with actually kind of a funny twist to it towards the end. The power ups are pretty neat...either you can turn into Rock Head Bonk (who actually looks more like your typical cave man) which allows you to deliever more damage to enemies who take multiple hits to kill and hurt most enemies on the screen when you slam your head on the ground OR you can turn into Screaming Bonk (which looks more reptilian) were you can either kill or hurt enemies by yelling "WOW" at them.

My Breakdown:

What's Good:

- The Game play. An all around fun game to play
- The power ups. Are very useful especially in boss fights
- A good variety of baddies to fight
- The twist towards the end of the game

What's Not-So-Good:

- Bonk's original design. His lip hangs like a turtle, lol

What's Bad:

- Nothing

In all, an excellent platformer for the Gameboy and a must have for any collector of old school games.
