This game is a great game to play with a friend but the single player feels a bit empty.
GRAPHICS: 8.8
Good for the most part with a unique artistic style that works well for the game but does take a little bit of getting used to. It would have been nice however to get a better variety of enemies and the animations that they use since you fight tons of enemies throughout the course of the game.
CONTROLS: 8.5
Easy to learn and smooth in game motion, whether you need to quickly sprint behind cover and quickly turn and shoot, or driving around to your next destination, they simply feel "right" for the most part. Driving can be a bit of a pain at times since the levels don't seem to cater to well to the vehicles, and map that didn't take you out of the game just to look at it would have been a great feature to have.
GAMEPLAY: 9.5
Straightforward quests each with a simple paragraph to tell you what you're doing and why you're doing you never feel taken out of the action when you get quests since it only takes a few minutes of being in town to be fully loaded and ready to go with a new bunch of quests to get done.
SOUND: 8.3
Nothing bad and it does stand out in good ways at times (especially when Brick goes Berserk) but for the most part it is about as generic as you would expect it to be. But after you hear the game charging sound from the psychotic enemies, you will wish you had more variety.
STORY :8.5
Certainly not the point of the game but it is there. And if there is a plot twist or something major happens may tend to get a little confused as to why it happened unless you are actually following the story.
MULTIPLAYER: 9.5
This is where the games shines in almost everybodies eyes and I agree. It is so much fun to be able to go around annihilating hordes of enemies and saving eachother from the brink of death in this action packed shooter. However if you find yourself playing online then that feeling can sometimes be lost without the right players. The game finding system is currently not all that great since you can't see who all in the game and what levels they are. When players also don't have a headset and you have no way to communicate then it is again hard to become immersed. This game is definitely one you want to play with a friend.
