Addictive. Urge to kill....rising...satisfied

I bought this game after a friend of mine gave me the tour in the 360 version. What attracted me was the open ended side. This game is great for those people that like to solo and even better for those that like co-op. The massive combination of guns are great. Looting and choosing what to keep becomes a dilemma once a while as the loot pile up fast. The transition between higher level areas is a gradual experience which I like with a lot of killing in between which I also like ( after those hard days at work). :D
The enemies yelling at you during battles was a nice touch and the various ways they die are entertaining too. The sounds are well done and some are just creepy. Like that psycho midget!!! GAH!!!!!! The huge bosses and the camera reaction to attacks really rock.
When you join in a co-op game things get better. Blasting away xp and missions are easier and more coordinated than just pull and kill. The appearance of each character and landscape is very comic like and the game overall is very immersive. I just didn't find the story line to be a strong one but that's fine. The open ended game play put this game at the top of my collection and I will play through it again sometime.
