Finally Something new and original
I never thought that Role-playing elements could be mixed with action shooting.
When I first saw the game I thought that this is going to be just another Fallout 3 title a good RPG but not a shooter! One of my friends recommended this title and insisted that I try it and it changed my view of the (First person) genre in the same way doom and half-life did.
The game created a complete universe a very unique planet that grows on you, from the first welcome by the small robot till the final boss battle. This thing rocks. It is a real RPG and a real shooter. You will level up as you play. You gain and buy new items weapons powers and areas as you progress. The most amazing thing is the fact that the title plays as an extremely excellent and fun shooter. The number of monsters you encounter is huge! as you level up the monsters level up as well.
The graphics are really nice they are cartoon graphics. The game engine is powerful (unreal engine so don't get the wrong idea) but you feel that you are living in a nice cartoon world. The artwork is brilliant.
You fight with an extremely huge variety of monsters (spiders, scavengers, birds, alien like enemies, and huge boss monsters). You also fight with bandits (some thing like Zombie soldiers) and with Royal guards which are really tough). When you finish the game you can have a second run you will keep your level progression and your weapons (which are ranked by colcr and level same as WoW orange / Purple/ BLue/Green/ White) please note that the game seems to create tons of weapons as you progress all the game repeats but with enemies at a higher level.
The game is to be played as a coop title but the solo run is also very enjoyable you can level up as a solo player then go online for coop play. You must try this it will change your perception of what a shooter is. Brilliant
