Great game, very few flaws
A perfect example is the enemy called a "Skag" mainly found when you first start the game (Arid Badlands/Skag Gully). You have the "Pup" Skags, "Adult" Skags, "Badass" Skags, "Corrosive" Skags, etc. They do this with most of the enemies, to make it seem like you have a lot of different enemies to fight, when you really only have 30-40.
Gearbox also does this with weapons. On the back of the box, it says "a gazillion weapons", when really you only have 100 different kind, mixed with different parts, that make it have a million different combinations.
Another flaw borderlands has, is modding. Many people can easily mod this game, where you can get unlimited health, shields, money, etc, which can make the game not fun. Players can also "boost" in this game, where higher levels bring lower players to high level zones, where the higher level kills all the enemies, and the lower level player gets experience. This can ruin the entire game, and make it really boring, really quick. Another bad thing about the game is you have to play through the entire storyline TWICE just to max out one character. You can get to about level 30 on your first playthrough, which then you have to start a second one, where everything is the exact same, but higher levels. This makes it really boring as well. I do like, however, the four different characters to choose from. You have the berserker, soldier, hunter, and siren, and they all have their own abilities and personalites. The humor in this game is decent as well, which makes the experience better.
Overall: Great game, a must buy. Modding/Boosting can get bad in this game. Play the game twice isn't fun. Repetitive. Very fun though.
