"Don't seem to make but two beans a sense."
-RPG style shooters aren't exactly commonplace, it's fun gathering different guns and figuring out which ones work well.
-Seeing a series of numbers billow out of your enemies is nifty.
-Cel-shaded graphical style works well given the humorous tone of the game.
-Characters are generally interesting.
-Co-op play can be fun.
-Challenging and fun boss fights.
Bad:
-They couldn't have made the ending more abrupt and unsatisfying if they tried. I won't spoil anything but let's just say that If you listen closely you can hear the wind howling through an empty shell of a storyline.
-After about two hours in, the environments become repetitive. The problem with designing a game that takes place on a wasteland called Pandora is that it's a wasteland. There's very little to interact with aside from enemies and vehicles.
-You can pick a character to play as and a couple of talents along the way, but that is the full extent of customization in Borderlands. Why can't you do anything to modify guns or vehicles? Could it be possible that this game was rushed to market a little too quickly?
-Multiplayer is very problematic, there are a lot of connection related issues. Even if you do get it to work, the people you play with will likely be at a much higher or lower level than you which pretty much means you'll be going solo or you'll have to start over again together.
