A humorous romp through a sea of zombie guts leaves you feelin' fine.
The setting is completely different from anything you will encounter in the story line. The setting helps set a certain amount of tone for the undead and horror motif, though I can't say that it was overwhelming. There were a few exceptions, however, that really stood out to me. The combat was alittle underwhelming, with 80% easily being simply gunning down wave after wave of zombies with an occasional tougher enemy thrown in. This might have been more of a detractor, but adding a skill shot component helped keep these easy kill waves interesting. By shooting zombies in the head, you expose their brain, which is used in a quest you pick up.
The story itself was a bit disjointed in relation to the main story line, but I won't go into detail to avoid spoilers. In actuallity it only created momentary blips of dissatisfaction on my part, and then the humor of the story came back to me. There seemed to be more concentrated humor compared to the main quest line, and I actually laughed out loud a couple times.
Only downside might be that it was too short, but I think for DLC it does a respectable job with length. I'm also not sure how this DLC relates itself to your main quest position, but I took it up at lvl 11 (started a new character)after only 3 or 4 of the main story quests. The level seemed okay in the beginning to maybe just a little easy at the end. Also, doing this at that point means I'm rediculously over leveled when I went back to the main story, but it seems to be working itself out fairly quickly.
Overall at 1/2 off, this was one of the best DLC values I've purchased.
