A Solid Begining To Borderland's DLC Range
Its a simple story, a virus is unleashed and in so the region of the add-on is subjected to a zombie outbreak. You turn up to discover what caused it, and put a stop to it. So your quest begins to discover its cause, those behind it and finally to tell the powers that be of the situation. Clearly you know its gonna be very funny and humorous being a Borderlands DLC, and you are not disapointed by it.
The loot of the DLC is to most hit and miss, again its true to an extent but you do get some worthwhile additions to your inventory that help on your main quest.
As for the in-game areas, they are very large and different. You never enter the same area, with the same feel.
To put it all together I really enjoyed this DLC and at only 800 microsoft points (yes I got it when it was released, the same day of release even) it was well worth its price tag.
The good:
- A fun if sometimes disjointed sub-story, and storyline.
- Good fun areas to traverse, that really change from the regular feel of Borderlands.
- Many new enemies to take a pop at, with new weapons.
- A good price, for such a fun and lengthy DLC.
The bad:
- Enemies can be overwhelming sometimes, and cause some headaches.
- Some side quests, can cause headaches due to the enemy types.
For Borderlands fans, this is a perfect addition to your hard-drive, as there are more DLC's to follow this one to come.
