General gameplay is excellent, however, this game does not have a lot of replay value.

In this review, I will be reviewing all 4 DLCs together with this game. Might be pretty long.

The Main Game:
Cel-shaded art style is probably the best art style you can get from games, since HD textures with fancy HDR bloom effects and reflections are getting boring, with many games utilising these graphics (Bioshock series, Fallout series). Gameplay is interesting though it does get boring at some point. Overall, the game experience is perfect, although there is virtually no story line at all. This game is (almost) purely about action - gunning down your enemies [namely bandits, crimson lances, wildlife on pandora (inclusive of the destroyer)].

1) A Bazillion Guns to Choose From
Yes, that phrase was taken from everywhere, trailers, claptraps and the game itself. A BAZILLION guns to choose from. Even though guns may fall under the same category (combat rifles, repeater pistols, revolvers etc), each one is unique. It's (very) difficult to find two of the same guns. Another thing about this is that you could find a very good weapon say at 10:01am. 2 minutes later, at 10:03am, you find a weapon that is better than the previous. This cycle continues. But this is only during the early game whereby your character is still growing a lot.

2) "Down But Not Out" Concept
Just like L4D, just like CODMW. Down but not out. You will eventually, though, bleed out if:
i) you do not kill an enemy before you bleed out
ii) no one revives you

A fee WILL be deducted from the amount of cash you have on you, meaning, the lesser amount of money you have, the lesser amount of money will be deducted in making your new body in the New-U machine. But of course if you have $0.00, nothing will be deducted.

3) General Gameplay
There are 4 characters available to choose from the start of the game, namely:

i) Roland - Soldier
Active skill - Scorpio Turret (name is self-explanatory)

ii) Mordecai - Sniper
Active skill - Bloodwing (a bird which helps you attack your opponents)

iii) Lilith - The Siren
Active skill - Phasewalk (makes you invisible for a few seconds)

iv) Brick - As Himself [Berserker]
Active skill - Berserk (Health regeneration, damage resistance, using fists to punch whoever you are going berserk on)

As for enemies, all of them you encounter have critical hit locations which can be used for scoring very high amounts of damage thus reducing the amount of ammo used (and the amount of hits needed) to take the enemy out, thus reducing your chances of dying. (*breathes in deeply*)

Bosses will be pretty hard when you first start out since you do not have weapons which are really good to take them out. However, once you reach the mid-levels of the game (level 30+ on playthrough 1, level 40+ on playthrough 2), you will (obviously) get more experienced at running away or fighting them head-on. And of course you will take them bosses down a lot faster even if they are at the same level as you.

DLC packages will be touched lightly on:
4 DLCs available (in release order):

i) The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned
Gives (throws) you an entirely new place to explore and new quests to complete. Of course you would be shooting zombies here in this new place, whom are created by Dr. Ned in an attempt to "help" the citizens of Pandora.

ii) Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot
Gives you a bank (to store your stuff in of course) and gives you 3 new arenas to play around in, aside from the 2 original arenas. These arenas will give you plenty of fun (I guess) and get you better gear. But to be truthful, one round of one of the 3 arenas can be really long.

iii) The Secret Armory of General Knoxx
Features new weapons, and increases the level cap to 61. Also features new vehicles like the Monster, Racer and the Lancer. And of course, new explorable areas. Also features Lance Chests which contain 2 decks of guns instead of 1 (red chests).

iv) Claptrap's (CL4P-TRP) New Robot Revolution
Features Ninja Claptraps!!! For those who have played the end game (or have seen a video of it), Claptraps are trying to kill all humanlife for exploiting them (claptrap repair missions). Of course, features new areas to explore and claptraps to kill.

Finally, replay value. The replay value of this game isn't that much since there are already two playthroughs. And these two playthroughs will lead you through the same storyline twice, with the exception that playthrough two will grant you higher level enemies and harder gameplay. So, for those who are looking to buy a game with high replay value, dodge this game.

Have Fun!~
