Borderlands is a fun and unique type of FPS. When you begin the game, you may wonder about the art style. Is it good? Do I really like it? Once you get off the bus and proceed through the opening part of the game, you will learn quickly that the artistic style makes this game what really is . . . originally awesome! I love the dark edges, the depth, and the shadows. In my opinion, I have not been satisfied with graphics via game play for awhile until now. It's perfect for the characters, enemies, and storyline. I will not provide any spoilers because I think it ruins the player's experience, but I will tell you the basic make-up of Borderlands. You have four characters to choose between, each with their own unique abilities. After selecting your character, you will set off on a journey to discover the vault . . . a mysterious place that may or may not exist. You are a vault hunter! Not only is this a FPS game, but it also has RPG elements to it. Personally, in the gaming world, I live for RPG's. There is nothing better than creating a character and boosting their stats and skills from your own preferences. Did I mention the loot? This game has a large, and I mean LARGE, variety of loot. The further you progress in the game, the better loot you will find and the better skills you will unlock!
If you enjoy series like Fallout, Diablo, WoW, Baldur's Gate (etc. etc.) . . . and in particular a series like Call of Duty . . . go out to a local retail store that has this game and purchase it! It is one of the best FPS/RPG blends out there to date!
