If you're looking for a not-so-serious relationship with a sci-fi action RPG, then it doesn't hurt to try out Bounty Hounds. The premise and characters look promising but as the vaguely interesting story unfolds, everything sort of gets lost in the formulaic hack'n'slash procedure throughout the entire game. Not to say it's bad, but it's just a little disappointing to realise how limited this game actually plays out. Get from point A to B, kill everything, take everything, sell everything. The only joy once in a while is discovering a piece of gear that can finally replace one of your equipped ones with that marginal benefit. And there's no set benefits even though you have put on all the pieces of the same set name, so what's the use with that?
Finally, the camera sucks big ace time. Whenever you want to close in on your enemies for that final hammer whack, the camera manages to swerve the enemy out of screen, leaving you a fool whacking at the screen (facing yourself) not knowing whether you actually hit anything at all. What a dumb thing to happen! In fact, the game is not that hard at all, but the weird camera behavior makes sure it is.
So, unless you have nothing important to do on your PSP, like playing another game, listening to your mp3s, or watching a video, and you really love killing things and looting stuff to sell, Bounty Hounds is your fat ace choice.
