Normally my ratings are close to Game-spot when it comes to reviewing games that I am interested in. When I saw Braid, an X-Box 360 live game, rated a 9.5 it was enough for me to go out and get it. The game has an interesting mechanic that has you rolling time back and forward to accomplish various puzzles in what is essentially a 2-D platformer. At first, its kind of fun, if a bit repetitive, as you work your way though the various worlds in the game. As you continue to play, while the variety of the puzzles change, the basic concept does not. For me, I honestly will say that I for bored of it rather quickly, and now its main use it in taking up space on my HD. For those that like puzzle games, Braid may be something that interests you. I am surprised at Gamespot, as clearly this is not a 9.5 game by any means. Their reviewer probably now wishes he could stop time as you do throughout the game and "redo" his score to somewhere around a 6.5 or so.
