The fancy music, the strange story, the dinosaur that keeps telling me that princess isn't here gave me a first impression of Braid that I'm playing Mario in a tuxedo. I saw 9.5 and I was excited by the review. I thought it sounded like a truly original game. It fails to be mind blowing some where between the hedgehogs and the cat/bunnies. If you play through all the levels of Braid, not trying to collect the puzzle pieces you could do it in maybe ten minutes. The puzzles seem impossible at first, you'll sit there trying one thing out, and say to yourself no, they can't want me to to that? Can they? Once you do figure out the puzzle it becomes an instant forget about it game. There is zero re-playability. If you do not know what a sudoku puzzle is, buy a book of the puzzles and try to solve a hard puzzle, your guaranteed more ups and downs and a general feeling of satisfaction after completion of a sudoku puzzle then Braid the game.
