Brain Challenge: Stretch those Gray & White Muscles

User Rating: 7.5 | Brain Challenge X360
Since I only own a 360 I'm not familiar with Brain Age and other brain-focused games on other platforms, so I lack have any frame of reference for comparison to those games. What I can say is that Brain Challenge is actually still quite fun and lives up to its name in terms of being challenging. I've only taken hard copy IQ tests in the past, so its neat to see those same IQ-testing based themes now depicted with fluid and dynamic visuals to essentially test these same areas of brain function. Logic, memory, math, visual and focus skills are tested and the categorical tests really do provide an insight into your own mental strengths and weaknesses. XBLA has always been a nice little diversion to take during/between massive RPGs or adventure games... and Brain Challenge is a great way to quickly exercise different mental muscles during/between those sessions. The statistical tracking is not extensive but does provide you a glimpse into how well you're progressing overall and in each category. For the price, this is a great little addition to your "My Games" section on your X360... and I assume it never hurts to challenge the old noggin once in a while.
