This game was eagarly awaited by me. I live in Australia and it is released as "Ricky Ponting's International Cricket". I was a huge fan of Shane warne cricket released back in '98 or so. This was also done by Codemastes so i was keen to get into the next iteration of cricket from these developers. The main reason it was so eagarly awaited was the crap performanced put in by EA Sports over the years. The Ricky Ponting game adressed all the issues surrounding the EA Sports titles. The Graphichs are great, and the commentary a great leap foward. The gameplay was fantasic, at least for a while. The batting physics and bowling dynamics were great but after a while it just became to easy to pull of big shots or six hits. This did alow for some great free flowing play though. For a game that dosent have the kind of following like the American sports, they did pretty well. For the next version, and I hope that they do continue on, quickly, they need to include multiplayer online. That would be great as the real fun that comes from this game is by playing with another friend or human opponent. They should also look at imoroving the AI and not making test matches take hours to complete. Overall it was a great leap foward in gameplay for cricket fans. Lets hope that they just build on this solid platform.
