ACTION CRICKET for Multiplayer gaming is BRIAN LARA 2007. EA sports is a better single player experience.
Brian Lara Cricket 2007 is a fast paced action packed with a few issues.
GAMEPLAY :>Batting =is mouse contolled for where you want to hit ball like a directional targetting system on a radar that works reasonably well.Its definately more fun than a directional button system.It still takes a while to get used to.After a few games you get used to it.Hard to master which is a good thing.The timing of the batting can be a bit awkward at times,so its not perfect.
I would love to see (just like the PGA Golf) a mouse hitting system..where you actually have to pull back your mouse and push it forward in the direction you want to precisely hit..it would be alot of fun and way more realistic.The harder you hit depends on your mouse precision,that would be great.
BOWLING:>Again with bowling dont think youll be able to just pick this game up without doing the tutorials a few times like i had to.Your LMB does normal bowls while your RMB does other functions then you can also combine these with the (SHIFT) button and control for even MORE functions.Which requires a bit of practice. It Makes multiplayer gaming really interesting.especially LAN play.
FIELDING :>THIS IS HARD AS to MASTER.!!!!Its not consistent unfortunately sometimes it works perfectly, other times it doesnt.I hope they perfect this system because the idea is awesome and makes for intense multiplayer games.You have to time your catching with a meter.But because of camera swiches and glitches its difficult to time it.And the bar moves REALLY REALLY FAST!!!so you have to keep on your toes all the time.But after a long time lol you will eventually get used to it.
But the cool thing is even though you might be used to it u still might make mistakes which could meen that this system could lose you a game,just like real life a catch could cost you the game,so i hope they perfect this because it is intense.
COMMENTARY :>bla does what it needs to i suppose no biggy.At least they say if a batsman has got a half century etc.they should say when you get good bowling scores too.
OVERALL :>graphics i dont really care about,But physics i do and they still need to get this right,1 day they might.And when they do it will be perfect however its not perfect yet.But this is NOT A SIMULATION, ea sports is more simulation than this.Becuase real cricket is slow but codemasters just like thier COLIN MCRAE DIRT have made it more arcade to make cricket fun.WELL they botched Colin mcrae DIRT up big time but the cricket is alot of fun multiplayer.But for a single player cricket simulation experience, EA Sports probably takes the real sport into account than this.
So for fun action fast paced timin intensity go codemasters.For simulation tv style broadcasting with nice graphics go EA SPORTS.Interesting because most ea sports games are quite big on **** but like (FIFA that STUPID GAME they call a soccer game)Pro evolution kicks its ass.But they have done reasonably well with a sim style cricket game.
