Online was a horrendous mess.

Normally I wouldn't think of writing a review until I've finished the game or played it quite a lot. For this game I'm making an exception to warn other potential suckers who might be tempted to put spend some money on this broken game.

I got the game today, that is May 27, 2011, well after the game's been released and I got it primarily for online play. It kind of looked like a Team Fortress clone and I wanted to try it out.

Went online and couldn't be bothered to play more than thirty minutes before I had enough. I will be trading it in to Gamestop tomorrow for anything else.

The game has so much lag that it was almost unplayable.

You're walking, no wait, you're being jerked this way or that way, now you're walking again, now you're being jerked this way and so on. Unfriggin' believable.

It doesn't help that the game is designed so that when you move, it's sort of like you're walking, you lean a bit to the left and then to the right and so on. Well when you've got lag like I experienced, ugh, it's just too much to put up with.

I like the idea of the story but I bought this for online and it's just unplayable.

Maybe I just happened to try the game when the servers where having trouble - I don't know. What I do know is that I've never had such a horrible experience with a game right out the box.

For the record, I have a decent internet connection and have no problem with lag with such games as MAG, Medal of Honor, Black Ops or Homefront.

If you're curious about this game, be warned.

If I had a time machine, I'd stop myself from buying it.

Too bad because I could remember when the name Bethesda meant quality, guess those days are over.
