With updates it's more Brink and less "Brick".

This game got caught my attention before it was released, stylish comic drawed graphics and a good flirt with parkhour jumping/running, sounds like a good first person shooter, I'm not sure it lived up to the class i'd like it to be but I think GS have the game underrated because of the early testing they did, with updates the game works quite good.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Story _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

The story tells a tale from the future about two main fractions with different goals about how to rule the people, good thing is that this isn't your average Alien/Monster/Zombie vs. Hero shooter or even the third future world war but rather just humans in a serious conflict, you will be able to choose to play as either team at any point, in fact you will be able to play any stage in the game at any point.

This is a simple stage shooter just like Unreal Tournament, the story isn't really there, It's just a tiny bit of essence to give the player a forward momentum into the next stage.
There is no depth in the story, witch is absymal to say the least, and the option to jump inbetween the different fractions/stages further destroy the feeling of a envolving story.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Gameplay _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

The gameplay at the beginning without updates was not the best to say the least, glitches in the way you interacted with objects, the way you could moove free'ly and the enemy AI's witch was the main feuture with the game felt broken at times.

With the later patch/updates most things fell into place and you start to appreciate the jumping and running while gunning down your opponents.

Even if there are only a handfull stages in this game there are very many things to do to your charracter.
You can play as four types of soldiers.
Engineer, Operative, Medic or the soldier, each has it's own feutures that you can/will evolve to suit your type of tactic.

The customisation of your charracter is quite large too, you will be able to change clothing/apperance and the wepons, the wepons will also be object for customisation with different unlookable things as an extra stabilety handle and additional magazine(s), duct taped magazines for faster reload, silenzers and different type of sight's.

The carracter have a level of skills, you will be able to spend points of different feutures as an extra clip of ammo in soldier mode or the abbilety to build upgraded minigun turrets if your an engineer, for medic the extra health boost is a usefull feuture, you can at anypoint in the game find your way to the controllcentre and choose what class you will play as.

Running and jumping is just as the dev. themself try to put word on it, "free", you can and will moove a little as a parkhour runner, because if you dont you will be killed very often.
With free running and jumping you can jump onto platforms and things so you have a greater chanse of surpress your opponents, as enemys re-spawn and can be revived by medics you'll need to moove all the time to not attract to much gunfire.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Visual and sound _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

This game is demanding for what it gets you in visuals, but the game has a steady framerate on my gtx460 with all settings on maximum, the game is cap'ed at 30fps by a odd desition from bethseda/splash damage, setting vsync of will come around that issue but expect alot of screen tearing in menus and at the cutscene from each stage.

The sound is in my opinion a little absent, with the feture to evolve (not a early game option) your carrater to run without making sound you really cant rely on your ears to pinpoint opponents and friends, the gunshooting i really can't tell if they all use the same sound or not.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Summary _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

This isn't your average postapocalyptic shooter, it's not trying to be either.
With the focus most on action and solving taskt like planting bombs on doors, capture comandcentre's and healing down'ed friends this game works.

The closest relative has to be Unreal tournament, you get points to solve tasks and the fraction who compleate their objektives wins the stage.

I do enjoy this game because I have come to appreciate the game for what it is even if it do have it's shortcomings I think it deserve a 7/10.
