User Rating: 8.7 | Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood XBOX
This Time round we enter the shoes of Sergant Joe "Red" Hartsock. The game begins with what Red and his men were doing during Road to hill 30, when Red was away from Baker. However we are soon plunged back into the epic struggle for Hill 30 (which by the way is one of the most intense gaming experiances i have ever had) as you try to hold the line while you wait for Baker to return with the Tanks.
The sound in this game is amazing, and it really adds to the atmosphere, when you hear bullets whizing overhead and mortar shells landing all around you. Also when you are eventually hit - you will know about it! trust me (usually by Red screaming out in pain or the sheer sudden thump as the bullet knocks you off your balance. The graphics and visual effects also bring this atmosphere to a believable and cinamatic experiance with ultra-accurate atmospheres. The explosions, for example look great.
The games difficulty is also spot on, as the unnacurate weaponry of World War 2 is used appropiately.
At the start of the game you will experiance some helpful hints to ensure you get used to the controls and the appropiate method for surrpressing, flanking and charging. Thsi ensures that beginners to the Brothers in Arms series will be able to pick it up. While people who played the origional will have a new challange as the A.I is greatly increased, as the player nad his men are now more likly to be flanked, supressed, or charged. While the germans will now retreat if the fell the need to.
Overall Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood is a must buy for anyone who enjoys action games and in my opinion is top of the tactical shooter range.
