There are plenty of other reviews that you can read regarding graphics, sound and multi-player qualities. I just wanted to drop a not about the tactical side of things. The tactical portion of the game is lauded as one of the game's strongest points, and I suppose it is, so long as you don't expect a lot of variety. I find that the tactical game play is fun, but largely pre-determined. For example, if you need to take out the enemy along a road, a quick look at the surrounding terrain pretty much dictates what you must do. This may sound totally natural and expected. Naturally the whole tactical lean on tis game is this: suppress and flank. Don't get me wrong, it's fun, but I did find it getting repetitive. So you're confronted with two bunkered MGs about 100 feet apart, and a couple of enemy infantry off to the side. You can never expect to rush a bunker, so obviously you have to go around. Oh look, there is the one area of the map where's you're not on rails, so go that way. Follow that around (suppressing and flanking any other enemies on the way), and you arrive at a great little suppress and flank spot for those MGs. Suppress and flank the MGs, then proceed to the next suppress and flank skirmish. Like I said, it is fun, and I have had a good time playing it. I just found that the ENTIRE experience is about one thing: suppress and flank, suppress and flank and more suppressing and flanking. I advise that you rent it first. If after renting you find the game play great, buy it.
