If you get into war with your framerate so low..

I waited for this game so long. The day I got this game, it's kinda disappointed. The texture is bad, the framerate is so low. But the more I play the game, the more it comes to convince me. This is one great game not to mention the platform differences. The game make you shoot Germans, and let you command you squad. Feels like SOCOM, but more interesting. It does not make things go round and round by giving you a long list of command to choose. The basic tactic here is suppressing the enemy and flank. You got two fire team. One is assault team, and the other is suppressing team. It's ideal to make suppressing team provide cover fire, so you and the assault team can go around and finish the enemy. But things can change cos you got lots more choices. You can either forget the tactic and just simply command you boys to rush into the line, and do the Rambo work, or you could stay put and pick some of the Germans one by one. But it is to say, the gun in the game is sometimes not accurate cos your hand just doesn't stay still, so you have to crouch to calm it down. Thanx god, the gun does work orther times though. Shooting a gun is one big satisfation. It is the sound partly accounts for making it great, but the gun itself is authentic. You will see each gun with each advantage, and for sure, you just can't rely on one only gun. Your usual weapon is the M1 and the Thompson SMG, sometimes you can pick up some of the enemy fire like Kar, STG etc. The iron sight of each gun will vary, and with some guns, it is easier to use this than others. Big reallisim to add, you will soon to realise, using iron sight is the most effective way to bring people down. One that keeps his gun beside his waist, doing the vague targetting will end up burgered somehow. The flanking is fun all the time. When the guys just concentrate on the oncoming fire that your team provide, you can pick them up one by one with your gun. You can also provide cover fire and oder your team to move and take him down. Anyway, tactic makes this game special. And that tactic is highly supported by the great AI, your teammates as well as the enemy. AI can recognise incoming attacks and look for cover. Pretty big aspect of AI in this game, is that they react to the situation they're in. If you rain fire on them, their shot will be less accurate, and thus, the suppressing thing does make sense. Moreover, if the enemy know that you're flanking from the side, they will eventually go for you first. And believe or not, sometimes you even got flanked. The graphic is not as good on the PS2, feels like the loss of tranlation. Anyway, not so bad, but the framerate does make trouble though. In an intense fire fight, it is hard to shoot at enemy who is flapping all over around. The sound is great enough. Every gun has specific sound. The sound is made to be more detailed, as the round is fired, when they hover in the air, and when they hit the things around. Voice acting and music were good. The guy as baker has a deep voice and the music really make you feel as in the battle field. Over all, a worth-playing game.
