Great sidescrolling game!

Most Bruce Lee games have been pretty bad. This one is just plain fun. You play as Bruce Lee trying to get revenge. The game feels very movie-ish. There are great tunes, though enemies are generic, they are fun to beat the hell out of. You can have many combos and even weapons. There are a number of levels that are pretty varied and different. You'll go from kicking ass to stealth missions, and to running missions. There are a lot of these missions, and the missions themselves are pretty lengthy. The gameplay is very fun and surprisingly not crappy. There are many techniques. The fighting system is probably one of the best on the GBA, with many combos, jumps, weapons, and rushes. Graphics are not that good, but they are still ok. There are some 3-D effects, but some of the sprites or models look undetailed. Animations are very good for the main character, and ok for the rest. Sound is also ok, there are some good tunes but some sound effects suck, though others are great, such as some of the impacts. As for value, there are unlockables such as hard mode, etc, and there are also new costumes you can unlock. Overall this is a great game, even sponsored by one of Bruce Lee's supporting "foundations." If you're looking for a good sidescrolling game then you will want to pick up Bruce Lee Return of the Legend.
