Wow, pretty colors.
I know it's a Kinect game, and it is fun to actually step up and throw the ball. Still, I would have appreciated a type size that was easier to see onscreen, non-clashing colors on the menus so you could tell what they wanted you to do, and really simple instruction tabs such as "pick number of players." I wound up playing a four-person match against a two-person CPU team. There's no reason there shouldn't be an easy way to select a one-on-one, you vs. CPU battle. Party mode should be clearly separate from individual play. I got pretty tired of the game refusing my 'skip CPU turn' selection because it gives you way too little time to complete the tap choice.
That said, the graphics are so pretty, all it misses from a real bowling alley is the smell.
For the average player, this is a game to rent, not buy. If you must have it for parties, do so. I hope the next edition is a step up.
