An action game based on a Metal world with Jack Black? AWESOME!
In the early game, you'll realize that missions are fast and there isn't such of an introduction to the characters or the world they inhabit. In fact, you just meet the human resistance and right after that, you already start the guide them and lead them to victory. For some players, this may be a bad first impression, but the action, the history and the world itself with so many regions to explore and so many references to Metal are rewarding. The sub-missions can give you a little thrill in the begging, but after a while, it just gets boring, and you'll do it just for some extra fire tributes, which are the currency in the game, that you can use to buy upgrades for your axe, strings for your guitar, new battle moves and also some new toys for your car, all this from the Guardian of Metal, the one and only, Ozzy Osbourne.
The multiplayer is also an thrilling feature where is based on stage battles, where you create your army and march forth to destroy the enemy's stage with the power of Metal, and of course, the FANS, which can be conquered by playing one of many guitar solos in the game.
In the end, you've a fun and new adventure by playing Brutal Legend. The soundtrack should really tune you in with the best of Metal, and even after beating the game and knowing that secondary missions are boring, you'll have a impulse of finishing them all, because the ending is so rewarding that sucks you in the story and make you cry for a sequel ( let's hope it's true).
