Like metal? like hack n slash? like humorous games? this is most likely perfect for you ;D
it has an open world, great hack n slash combat, a very decent story, and a wonderful art style.... though it escapes from the games that i would consider in the same genre by adding tons of humor, and a great metal world
as a metal head every second of this game was like a dream... driving through landscapes of creative metal landmarks with the radio in your car blastin a wonderful collection of tunes
but metal isn't the only thing this game has going for it
the combat is wonderfully entertaining as you hack limbs off watching blood spray across the battlefield while vehicles expload and guitar solos create burning zeppelins from the sky
the game is action packed and doesn't only include simple slice and dice gameplay but strategy as well
during certain points in the main game you will be given wings to fly over a battlefield, capturing towers(merch booths) to gain fans to produce more units in till you are able to overrun the enemy stage and destroy it
it is so simple yet works so well.... at least in the actual game against AI
the online is broken
there are three armies to play as in multiplayer
the Tainted Coil, Iron Head, and Drowning Doom
you can have some fun with the multiplayer but what usually happens is a bunch of crappy players use iron head and rush your base with choppers(forgot the name) well there are no units in the other 2 armies that can rush bases that well.... as the Tainted Coil there is a unit good for defending against them but eventually you are still pretty screwed
the online is broken and it's a bit sad
either way the real game is funny, action packed, and keeps you sucked in
the story is surprisingly good and i really hope they make another one because by the time i was done with this game(including finding all the hidden stuff for achievements) i wasn't even close to finished playing... i wanted more
and thats the problem with this game... it is far to short
either way i totally recommend this game to any fan of the zelda series, God of War, or action adventure games in general that include medieval weapons
and metal heads... you owe it to yourself to try this game out regardless
