One of the most fun games I've played..

User Rating: 8.5 | Brutal Legend PS3
Ok I know this review is a little, ok a LOT late in being written, But what can I say I've been really busy.
So to business then,
Brutal Legend....
Jack Black is Eddie Riggs, Notice how the name is a nice little pun in itself, seeing that Eddie is a roadie!
You get transported back in time to an Age where Rock and Metal were a way of life, where music truly did sooth the savage beast, where metal was and is the sound of the earth and the light at the end of the tunnel.
The Gameplay-
I really like the whole feel of the gameplay on the PS3, Its pretty easy to get a hang of the controls and one you do, juggling all the combos and special moves is like a walk in the park. Prehistoric Metal Park that is.
I seriously like how they have incorporated the whole Guitar hero/rock band - esque feel to the special moves in the game, slip up and your fingers burn too.

The Game-
The game is definitely fun. Big environment, lots of bad guys, blood and gore and a car, well a hot-rod to be exact (no I dont mean Rowdy Roddy Piper)
The game offers a bunch of upgrades to your already awesome weapons.
I mean how cool is it to have an Axe and and Axe as weapons?!!!
Rethorical question by the way.
The Actual Axe is a sweet looking double edged killer which can be upgraded to be surrounded in FIRE!! or become sharper or even keep getting deadlier the more people you kill!!!
The other Axe is you flying V guitar. Now in this age as I said music has power, playing the guitar really stuns your opponents, like sends a bolt of lighting up their A** stuns them!! Also the power lies in the strings which are upgradable. :P
You get a bunch of special moves in the form of guitar solo's like the face melter and the call of the wild.
The game apart from its brilliant 3rd person storyline also incorporates a strategy style battle in it allowing you to get resources in the form of fan tributes and to build units and battle it out with the bad guys.
I think this is a stroke of ingenuity and speaks volumes for the game.
Bloody Brilliant if I may say so...

Also featured in the game is one of the best soundtracks I've ever seen. Goodbye NFS soundtrack Hello Ozzy and Dragonforce.
Guest appearances from Lenny Killmeister and Ozzy osbourne and Kyle Gass, make this game even more fun, I mean Ozzy as the Guardian of Metal!! How cool is that?!!!

Look, if you like Metal, if you like video games, or if your just looking to have some fun,
This is the game for you.
Its easy to learn, fun to play and comes with a whole load of gameplay.
Not to mention the music.
I say a double thumbs up in my book.
Worth the money.
And easily worth a play!
If you dont have it... Get it!! NOW!!!
