From the ground up, this game is one of the most creative games I've ever played. Jack Black tears up a heavy metal underworld and pulls it off with total awesomeness. He recruits armies of groupies, head bangers, rocker chicks, bikers, and more along the way. The basic gameplay is your typical primary/secondary mission format with lots of hidden things to find along the way. With more hidden discoveries come more power. This alone would make a great game. The soundtrack keeps you rockin' while you ambush enemies, mow down weird demonic creatures with your bad a$$ car, or race across the wastelands. On top of all of this, there is a completely separate type of gameplay within BL. "Stage Battles" pit you and your crew against all sorts of dark creatures. This part of the game is very well designed and very exciting to play. As your personal army of chaos follows you as you run with your rally flag toward the enemy lines, you may stop to think... "this is f%@kin' cool!". I know I did.
The games story line is addictive, Jack Black is hilarious throughout, and the celeb appearances top off this awesome game. Easily, one of the best games I've played in a while.
