Run, Shoot, Repeat... I really tried to like this game, but unless you just want to kill some time with a mindless shooter, forget about it. Even the mindless shooting part is a letdown because you are not sure what your 3 AI teammates will do in the battle, so all the shooting is pretty chaotic and unsatisfying. I have to say I did start off trying to play the game slower (even though you don't have to) and try to use each team member's special abilities, but the game quickly becomes very repetitive, re-visiting the same few worlds, with the same few enemies, and with almost no freedom in the environment. It's almost on rails how you follow from one yellow dot to the next. BORING! So somewhere in the middle of the game I gave up trying to play it slow, and then you switch into run and gun mode and then the game is over way too fast. The sound and the graphics are really nothing special, the maps are so boring and repetitive, the weapons are un-memorable, and the only special ability worth anything is Hawk's invisibility mode. I know some team of experts must have decided to make this game with a 4 player Squad in 3rd person, but I can't help but wonder if this would not be more fun as a Single Player in 1st person type of game (dare I say it - like Halo). I don't understand the reasoning some people give that you have to play this game on hard to really understand it, for me it just makes it even more boring. In summary, wait until this game comes down to $15 or give it a rent. Really nothing special here at all. If you want a really fun and slower paced squad based game try Conflict Dessert Storm. If you want to run around and shoot everybody and have fun doing it then replay Halo.
